Return & Refund Policy

Effective Date: August 19, 2026

Cotton Grove Cavaliers wants families to clearly understand the reservation, payment, and health-guarantee process before making a commitment.

Reservation Deposits

A $300 deposit is required to reserve a puppy.

Deposits are generally non-refundable, although exceptions may be made at the discretion of Cotton Grove Cavaliers.

Because reserving a puppy removes that puppy from availability to other families, we encourage buyers to ask any questions they may have before submitting a deposit.

Remaining Balance

The remaining puppy balance is due upon or before pickup or delivery, unless another arrangement has been agreed to.

Cancellations

If you are unable to move forward with the purchase of your reserved puppy, please contact Cotton Grove Cavaliers as soon as possible.

Cancellation does not automatically entitle the Buyer to a refund of the reservation deposit.

Puppy Returns & Rehoming

Puppies are living animals and are not treated as ordinary retail merchandise.

If at any point the Buyer is unable to continue caring for the dog, Cotton Grove asks that the Buyer contact us before surrendering, transferring, or rehoming the dog so available options can be discussed.

This does not create an automatic right to a refund.

Health-Related Claims

The Buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours / 3 business days of receiving the puppy.

Cotton Grove also provides a 2-year genetic health guarantee against qualifying serious congenital or hereditary conditions.

If an eligible genetic health claim is confirmed under the written guarantee, Cotton Grove will replace the puppy with a puppy of comparable value.

All health-related claims, exclusions, veterinary documentation requirements, and remedies are governed by the signed Health & Genetic Guarantee.

Veterinary Expenses

Routine veterinary expenses and expenses not specifically covered under the Health & Genetic Guarantee are the responsibility of the Buyer.

A veterinary diagnosis or expense does not automatically create a right to reimbursement.

Delivery & Transportation Fees

Delivery and transportation charges may be separate from the puppy purchase price.

These fees are not automatically refundable if a reservation or purchase is later cancelled, particularly if transportation has already been scheduled or provided.

Trupanion Coverage

Cotton Grove provides information about the Trupanion Go Home Day Offer, which may provide temporary pet medical insurance coverage when properly activated.

Trupanion coverage is separate from Cotton Grove's Health & Genetic Guarantee and is governed by Trupanion's own terms and requirements.

Written Agreement Controls

This page provides general information about Cotton Grove Cavaliers' return and refund practices.

If the signed Health & Genetic Guarantee or another written purchase agreement contains more specific terms, the signed agreement will control.
